ADRIAN VON ZIEGLER : "LIFECLOCK"

On November 13th, 2010, the score-master from Switzerland, Adrian von Ziegler released his second digital album, entitled "LIFECLOCK".
The album containing 17 new songs (70 minutes full-play),was realeased via bandcamp.com and this time the genre seems to be even more developed.

Von Ziegler stated: "For "Lifeclock" I composed more Songs orientated to Metal, although as always I arrange nearly every Song with orchestral Elements, also the Celtic ones. There are many experimental Sounds in this Album but over all, I wanted to focus on captivating Lead Melodies"...

The album seems to be following once again one of those really breathtaking concepts that we are used in gaining from Adrian. The song opening the album is the one entitled "Lifeclock", leading the listener to the unique world of gothic, haunting repeting violin tunes.
As stated by von Ziegler himself, the album is more metal orientated. Songs like "Arcane Wonder Worker", "Metsän Läpi", "Trolltod", "Brachnirs Clam", "Up You Go","The Stormbringer"or "Unique" are pointing out exactly this metal-kind structur of massive guitars surrounding the lead melodies on the background. However, the talented boy from Switzerland did not forget the lyrical streams running through his veins so once again he gives us the opportunity to experience the amazing atmosperical waterfalls of his soul with songs like "Nevermore", "For A Lost Love", "Mea Requies" and many more. It would be a shame if we forgot to mention the lyrical mourn of the violins on "Last Act's Prelude" blending with the vast piano harmonies and not only. "Viking Blood" and "Rune Magic" are songs able to stand up for the celtic features combined on the album.
The song finishing the opus is a total masterpiece named "The Candle Burns Down..." which is the perfect score to end up this work.

Adrian von Ziegler has created a whole new "school" in what we used to call "Gothic - Atmosperical - Score Music" and seems to have been accepted by most Goths.
"Lifeclock" is one more proof of how great soundtrack and score music can be if it is composed by someone who knows exactly where to put each note.
The whole concept of the album is moving around the dark fields of human soul whereas the art cover made by Carina Grimm is reflecting everything the album has to say.
Definately, a masterpiece draging the listener along in the sweet sorrow of gothic darkness.
